In the Fall of 2015, Town Meeting delayed a decision to further restrict operation of leaf blowers in Brookline, and established a Moderator's Committee on Leaf Blowers to further study the issue.
This Committee, chaired by fellow Precinct 13 Town Meeting Member John Doggett, is now gathering residents’ feedback through an electronic survey located at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RKWS8TK.
Survey participants are respectfully asked to fill it out only one time.
The Moderator’s Committee will also hold a public meeting to hear residents' concerns about the use of leaf blowers, both gas and electric powered. In particular, the Committee would like to hear opinions on the current leaf blower regulations: the by-law limiting overall machine noise level and the summer and winter bans on the use of gas leaf blowers.
